How to Find the Best Wakeboarding Spot
Many wakeboarders have their favorite secret riding spots. They tend not to disclose these places to many people, but these tips may help you find the good water. First things first, make sure the area is safe, not high traffic, not too shallow, and no submerged objects.
If you are at a location you haven’t wakeboarded before, ask friends who wakeboard the area for the best spots. If none of your friends know, you can always go to a wakeboard shop and ask where the best places are. Finally you could always search the net, more than likely you probably won’t find the best spots, but maybe something.
Finding the good water-
The areas of good water vary differently depending on the wind. Some may be good in one wind and not another. The best thing to do is to find a sheltered area usually on a shoreline. This helps keep waves down.
Finally as always be sure to stay within the regulations of the area. Some places have no wake zones, as well as regulations on boat motor size.
